Multiselect Design Assembly
We have added the ability to select multiple items within the Design Assembly. When you do this you can now perform group actions, such as changing multiple designs simultaneously, and adding components to multiple groups. We hope this feature will speed up the design process, and help manage large projects!
Add New Parts from Library Screen
You can now search the Octopart library of 83+ million parts directly from your Library (File > Open), and add these components directly to your Library!
You will see the option at the bottom of the library which will allow you to preview and add parts directly to your library!
Other Enhancements
Connection Table Enhancements
- The 'Reset To Default' option when configuring Connection Tables will now reset your table to the default settings you have defined in the File > Settings menu.
- Connection Tables will also take your default settings when groups of tables are merged/unmerged.
Tab Management Options
- We have added a new Setting (File > Settings) to let you configure the default behavior when you Edit a Versioned design. This option will allow you to pick if you want the current tab to automatically close.
Image Scaling Updated
- The option to 'Scale Image to 100%' will now reset the image size to its size defined in the underlying design. For example, scaling to 100% will resize the image to the size defined in a Connector / Custom Part design (not the native pixel dimensions).
Revision added to Production Data
- Your Production Data exports have a new row detailing the revision of the current design as exported. This will allow you to track and distinguish multiple exports of the same Production Data file.
'Where Used' Added to Ribbon
- The 'Where Used' search button is now integrated into the application ribbon, allowing you to determine design usage directly from the design window.
'Open in Background' added to Design Assembly
- When right-clicking a design in the Assembly, you now have the option to open this design in the background.
