Tools and Tool Tables Added
You can now create Tools to track and document tools, equipment, and fixtures required for harness assembly directly in your drawings.
You can add Tools to your Harnesses, Systems and Devices directly, and also to Configurations (inside of a Connector, Ferrule, Ring Terminal, Splice, etc). The Tool itself includes a Tool Type, Manufacturer, Part Number, Internal Part Number, Description, and an image.
In your Harnesses, Systems, and Devices, you can display a Tools Table on the Top Level drawing, and there is a dedicated Tools tabular output. These tables will only show the unique set of Tools in your drawing alongside where the tool is used in a Usage column, and Tools will NOT appear in the BOM.
You can also reorder tools, include or exclude individual tools from the output, and customize which tools appear (similar to the BOM). The Tools table is included in your PDF and print outputs for complete manufacturing documentation.
Strip Lengths Added to Splices
Splice designs now support strip length specifications.
You can define the strip length for each Splice design, and it will be included in your connection length calculations and outputs in your Harness drawings.
Enhanced Edit Twisted Wires Dialog
The Edit Twisted Wires dialog now shows much more detail about each wire, including a color swatch, wire size, IPN/Part Number, and connection information. This makes it easier to identify and verify wires when editing twisted wire groups.
Access via: Edit Twisted Wires in the Utilities ribbon
Revisions Table - Include/Exclude Revisions
The Revisions Table now has an Include checkbox (similar to the BOM) for each revision row.
This lets you control exactly which revisions appear in your printed output and PDF exports. Revisions not checked will be excluded from the generated tables.
Access via: Revision Table Properties
Enhanced Harness Copy/Paste
You can now copy/paste Harnesses with connection and conductor (wire/cable) related information.
When you select two endpoints (connectors, ferrules, etc), all associated connections and conductors will automatically be copied when you Copy/Paste as normal. This will allow you to copy entire parts of a Harness within a single drawing, or from one drawing to another.
Improved Conductor Dropdown in Connections
The conductor dropdown in the Connections tab now displays information in neatly aligned columns: a color swatch, conductor name, wire size, and IPN/Part Number.
This makes it much easier to scan and select the correct conductor when building your connections.
Access via: Conductor dropdown in Connections tab
Flip Images Horizontally & Vertically
You can now flip images on your drawing canvas. Right-click any image (connector images, custom part images, tool images, or standalone images) and select Flip Horizontal or Flip Vertical to mirror the image.
Access via: Right-click menu on images
Arrow Shape Shortcut
A quick Arrow button has been added to the shapes toolbar for creating lines with arrowheads in a single click.
Access via: Shapes toolbar
Additional Improvements
- Configurations Sorted - Configuration lists are now automatically sorted alphabetically for easier navigation.
- Notes Table Delete Key - You can now press the Delete key to remove rows in the Notes Table, providing a faster workflow.
- Notes Flag Multiselect - You can now multiselect several note flags and show/hide their arrowheads.
- Library Path Tooltip - Hovering over folder paths in the Library now shows a tooltip with the full path, helpful when paths are long or truncated.
- Copy to Clipboard in Library - A new Copy dropdown button has been added to the Library ribbon toolbar. Select any design and quickly copy its Part Number, Manufacturer, Description, Internal Part Number, or All Fields to your clipboard.
