Strip Lengths
You can now specify strip lengths for Contacts, Ferrules, Ring Terminals, Spade Terminals, and Quick Connect Terminals so this information can be used within your Harness designs! To add this information, you can edit one of these designs and add the strip length detail as shown below.
In your Harness design, strip lengths are pulled from the respective contacts and terminals, and incorporated into your design. The strip length information will appear optionally in your Connection Tables, Wiring Table, and Cutlist Table.
Strip lengths will also be added to your overall wire length calculations, which is used to compute the total amount of wire/cable used in your BOM. You can also override individual (or multiple) strip lengths via the Edit Lengths dialog as shown below.
Notes Table
We have added a separate Notes Table output to your PDF exports. This will allow you to optionally turn off the Notes Table on the Top Level drawing if you need the extra space on your Top Level. When you hide the Notes Table from the Top Level, all of your Flags will still be visible on the Top Level drawing.
Harness Connection Editor
We have added a few enhancements to the Connections editor in a Harness design.
- There is now an indicator to showcase if a wire is twisted in the connections grid (and you can hover over this icon to see the twisting details).
- You can directly change a Conductor design from the right-click menu. This will update the conductor design so you don't have to add, reassign, then remove the conductor.
- You can now twist and untwist wires directly by selecting multiple rows and right-clicking on the selection.
Additional Updates
- New items added to a Harness via the toolbar will be positioned in the center of the screen
- New items added to a Harness via the right-clicking menu will be positioned at the location of the right-click action on the drawing
- New items added to a Harness will be automatically selected
- Edit Contacts and Wire Seals dialog has option to view Contact and Wire Seal designs
