New Features: June 6, 2019

The features announced with this release. Screenshots and menu names are shown as they were at the time. See the Version History for every release.

Version Dialog - Design History

When creating a version of a design, you will now see all information related to the design's prior versions! In particular, you will immediately see when the last version was saved, who it was saved by, if it was Versioned, and the associated Version Name.

Design Assembly - Locate in Top Level

You can now jump from the Design Assembly to any part's specific location. To do this, simply right click on any component, and select "Locate in Top Level". This feature is built into the Design Assembly for Harnesses, Systems, and Devices.

Top Level - Middle Click Pan

When editing your drawings, you can now click and drag the middle mouse button to pan around your drawings!

Harness Connection Export - To/From PN

When you export your Harness Production Data - you will now see two new columns in the Connections Tab "To PN" and "From PN". Each of these columns will display the part numbers associated with each connection terminal (Connector, Ferrule, Quick Connect, etc.) In addition to this, you can still see the "From Contact PN" and "To Contact PN" columns that are used to show the part numbers for a specific contact/pin/socket.

Harness and System Manufacturer Property

Harnesses and Systems now have an optional Manufacturer property. This property can also be used as a Text Replacement field on your Drawing Template and Table Templates!

Updated Harness Connection Sorting

With this update, Harness Connections will now be sorted to account for "Housing" and "N/C" connection endpoints. In particular, both of these options will appear after all standard alphanumeric cavities. This update will prevent "C1.Housing" from appearing between "C1.H" and "C1.J". This change will be synchronized across all tables including your Connection Tables, Wiring Table, and Exported Production Data.

Cables - Drain Wire Gauge

When designing a Cable, you can now specify the gauge of each Drain Wire. To add a gauge to your drain wires, you can simply select the cable drain wire and specify the gauge as you would any other conductor.

Cables - Shield as Conductor

When using a Cable within a Harness, you can now use a Cable Shield as a conductor! This option will become available when you create a connection, and will appear as seen below. When used as a conductor, the cable shield will appear in all Connection Tables, and the Wiring Table as expected!

SAE Wire Gauge

Now, when designing a Wire or Cable, you can use the SAE wire gauge option as a new wire size unit. This unit will appear correctly in all locations just as AWG and mm².
