Editing Wire & Cable Lengths

You can now manually edit and override all the computed lengths for each connection inside your harness! To edit your lengths, you simply press the Edit Lengths button in the top of the ribbon.

Editing Wire & Cable Lengths

In this dialog, you can see three new ways to adjust the lengths within your harnesses.

  1. You can now add a Default Loopback Length for all connections that connect From and To the same connector (such as connection C1.1 - C1.2).
  2. You can give all of your other connections (excluding Loopbacks) an Extra Length that is added to their total computed length.
  3. If you prefer to manually set a connection length to override its computed length, you can specify a new length in the Override Length column. In addition, you can select multiple connections at a time, and edit them together using the right click menu.

Exporting Production Data

Within your harness, you can now export all tabular production data to a single Excel workbook! This new feature is located at the top of the ribbon, and still allows you to generate individual documents if you prefer.

Exporting Production Data

When you export your production data, the Excel workbook will contain your Bill of Materials, Wire & Cable Cutlist, Connections List, and Newly Added Labels. The Labels tab will show you all individual Labels added to your harness, including their part information and Text to display. This information can then be used to send your label texts to a printer.

Below, you can see an example bill of materials including the use of Devices, Harnesses, and Subsystems.
