New Features: June 19, 2017

The features announced with this release. Screenshots and menu names are shown as they were at the time. See the Version History for every release.

Formboards (To-Scale Drawings)

We have added the ability to make your harness bundles drawn to-scale so you can create formboards/nailboards. Now, when you assign lengths to a bundle, any bundles that are NOT drawn to-scale will show their lengths underlined (shown in red).

Further, when you hover your mouse or click a length, you will see two arrows that will allow you to scale your drawing by moving your harness in the specified direction (shown in green). Note, this action will remove any Layout Points along your bundle.

We hope you are able to leverage this new feature if desired, and are excited to continue building more powerful layout tools!

Wire Seals

We've also added the new design type 'Wire Seals' which can be used to seal wire/cable entry into your connectors on a per-cavity basis. You can create your own wire seals like any other design, and manage these with a Harness using the Design Assembly under each connector in the Wire Seals folder. When assigned, these parts will appear in your BOM, and optionally in Connection Tables and the Wiring Table.

Manage Contacts and Seals

Alongside the new wire seals, you can now also manage your contacts and wire seals in bulk using the new Manage Contacts and Wire Seals dialog. This dialog is found by right clicking on the Contacts or Wire Seals folder in the Design assembly, and allows you to multi-select and assign contacts and wire seals simultaneously.
