The features announced with this release. Screenshots and menu names are shown as they were at the time. See the Version History for every release.

Add Coverings to Your Harness

You can now add your own Coverings in RapidHarness to describe any harness protection used when building your harnesses! This includes, Corrugated Tubing, Sleeving, Spiral Wrap, Tape, Tubing, and Custom Coverings. Once added, they will show up in your Harness Top Level drawing in the new “Coverings” table. In addition, you will see references to which Coverings are used next to each bundles’ length.

Add Coverings to Your Harness

To add a covering to your harness design, select the new Coverings tab, and select one or more bundles in your harness Top Level. From here, you can simply click “Add Covering…” (shown in green). For additional bundles, you can simply select an existing configuration to save time (shown in orange).

Add Coverings to Your Harness

To help you get started, we’ve added several “generic” components to the RapidHarness library. As always, you can also create your own coverings to share with your team.

All Bundles Are Mergeable

You can now merge any Branch Points or Splices to any other Bundle in your harness! Whereas you used to get a Red/Green color to indicate if an action was possible, RapidHarness will now automatically re-route all connections as necessary. Note that you will still see a green outline to indicate that a merge action is about to be performed as shown below.

Bundles Save Lengths, Coverings, and Layout Points

In addition to everything being mergeable, when you merge any two items, RapidHarness will preserve as much information about your harness as it can. In particular, the software will keep your Bundle Lengths, Layout Points, and newly added Coverings.

New White Bundles

Lastly, as you may have noticed, Bundles are now shown in white allowing for more clarity when viewing or printing highlighted connections.
